Global Congress of Spiritual Scientists ( GCSS)

(* My gratitude to my wife,  mentor friend Sunil and typical thanks to Shrikanth Ji,  and all my dear friends know that i am nothing without them )

We  cant accept the fact that we are  a guest to this world.   We  keep depressed, are  desperate.  Howsoever be the food prepared by the host ( at their  house for us) ,  we  always appreciate it.  Whatever the arrangements they made for our  stay,  we accepted it gracefully and thanked them.   We  are  happy when we accepted that we were   only a guest there for a day or two.

Why not Accept that we are only guests to this world ?    We might be happier still …

The Pyramid Spiritual Society (PSS) is organizing a Union of Spiritual Scientists from all over the Globe bringing a week of Spiritual Revelation. Welcome to this unique kind of spiritual experience to meet and learn from the spiritual masters and spiritual scientists, also let this be a ground where you can share your ideas and knowledge.

We deal with our body, mind and soul every moment of our life and yet we are not aware of our spiritual existence.
At times when we are totally lost in the mindless world of doing and rushing after material things, we tend to hurt ourselves with the bodily activities and seek solace in material pleasures forgetting that we are sinking into this everlasting bondage rather than rising into a free world of higher spiritual existence. We seldom have the spiritual balance.

In order for us to function fully, all our aspects within  ourselves must be balanced. Our mind, body and soul have to be in harmony with each other. The essence of spirituality is the search to know our true selves, to discover the real nature of consciousness.
It is always important to maintain the balance between materialism and spirituality.  But where do we begin from.
Who will start the spiritual journey for you ? Who will evoke your internal state of mind, unwind you body and bring harmony within your soul.

In this program,  light will be thrown upon areas where we need to begin from ?  Simply few practices like meditation, yoga and vegetarianism, which are so popular are undertaken as study  for a spiritual purpose.
Spirituality and meditation always were associated with each other.   “If spirituality is the sea, then meditation is the endlessly flowing river that finds its way to that sea.” ( a quote from Laly Lekshmanan)

Meditation means to achieve thoughtlessness. Today, many people are lacking inner happiness and finding it difficult to handle the emotions. Through meditation, we can control materialism and achieve our goals with more ease.
Vegetarianism is a crucial aspect of emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development. You can discover the truth for yourself by simply trying a vegetarian diet.

Our ancestors learned the secrets of the outer world as well as the inner selves. They actually learnt the harmony between the two. Spiritual Masters will try to bring that to us back.

Meditate! Think and find time for yourself! Connect yourselves!

The conscious world within us forgets who we are, why we are here and what are we are living for. Our egos in our conscious world control us and our every action there-off.

The only moment we want to turn to spirituality is when our consciousness fails to give us enough that we ever wanted, we become distressed.   Desperation to achieve,  expectations to fulfill, fuel our ego.  Once  our hope diminishes,  our egos fail to exist, but this is temporary.  This is called Ego in despise.     It comes back in still stronger form.

When at a point where you rise above your ego but you still have  faith in yourselves,   a  moment you churn and turn to the real spirituality….. the spirituality that is talked about here is the path you are seeking to find yourself,   your very inner self.

It is hardly possible that someone who has strolled the path of meditation was untouched by the knowledge of spirituality.

The realization of the spirituality and the ability to meditate,  to focus on increasing our spiritual powers that will bring us close to the almighty is only a quality of human existence. A strong and ardent meditator will attain the most self realized state of mind, which will entitle him as an enlightened being. Such an individual will be in peace with his body, mind and soul. The meditator overcomes the false perception of separation and finds himself in the awareness of union.

If the Tiger had to be in a Zoo

I was told to visit the Bangalore based Bannerghatta National Park ,  once  when i went to bengaluru.  Actually me and friend decided to go to Mysore.  Mysore is a good place for sightseeing, it has got ancient palaces,  excellent gardens, lot more to see.  It was a family trip.  But unfortunately, his family didnt turn up.   My wife was sad after seeing that our planned tour to Mysore is cancelled.   I even tried on internet for an alternative.  Some sites like makemytrip.com did provide valuable information  but not full information.   So i call up my friend, who advises me on the Sight seeings in and around Bangalore.

Kumar told me that the Lions at the zoo will be like Dogs in our city homes and Tigers will be like House hold cats.   Plus he warned me that it will all be artificial.  The sight is not really good if you intend to see authentic wild ,  but the fact that  wild animals could be seen somewhere living is the truth.

At the entrance,  my wife and i decide to go for the safari.  For the safari, we need to take a pass from the authorities.

After a short walk to the zoo,   where were the traditional cells and a few spacious enclosures, visitors were loaded into Jungle  buses called ‘Safari‘.    We began to tour the park.   “On the way we saw lions and tigers, which are mostly sleeping in the shade of trees beside the road.  There are concrete buildings made where the animals go in and out. There is no doubt that this event is expected, because the group of lions or  tigers are fed artificially.

Predators (tigers or lions)  feed on other animals in the wild where the laws of nature prevail.   Zoos are unnatural, the laws of nature do not apply to either predators or prey.    “This is a way of money making that is tampering with nature and should not be considered entertainment or a natural behavior. “, said one visitor after the tour.

Money is yours but resources belong to the society

My friend and close mate Muralee keeps telling me one thing, “I want to be a millionaire, only then humans have value otherwise humans are useless, like waste matter in a bin”.
“If you have nothing in your pocket, who cares for you?”

“Till last year i was working for your team in the  company.   I used to work hard all the time.  I got poverty in return, the company exploited me.  I remained where i was.”
“But I took the hard decision to quit,  it was not easy to go off like that, I dont regret it because  today I earn a handsome 3 times more than what i used to earn there, I know your condition too , you too want to leave and feel free”

So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.
“If you know how to use the system then it will give you enough ideas to break the rules.  Breaking rules is how people make money out here”,  says Sprite.

“I need a software for my OFFICE automation and staff usage, i need it cheaper than 30, 000 Rupees“, says BhajanLal to Muralee.   Muralee used to be in my Team for sales and marketing.  It was so difficult to convince a client for a software installation.

Bhajanlal is the M D of Rajan Gold and Sajan cigarettes.  He is one of the richest guys in town.

“My monthly weekend party’s Expenditure is increasing da. My weekend party cost is nearing 12,000 Rupees. “, he tells his close friend Deban Babbani, who is the MD of ‘Female -Elephant’ Brand Lady’s Cycles”.  Poor Bhajanlal he is a person with lost trust in people.

Muralee was right.    People exploit each other to make money.  I did agree to him.   Work load was very high.  On top of that the company used to pay only by 10th of every month.
The sad part in the company was “rules were not same for all”.   The elite few got benefits all the time.  They get salary before others,  others were told that there is no cash in the bank.  MD has to sell his land now so they are waiting for the deal to pay for the salaries.
A good experience of my friend: I share here publicly over my Blog.  We have started to take things for granted and we simply cannot get out of our habit.   When we fight in the Reservation Queue, we ask why are we like this ?  We travel in a crowded local bus to get ashamed of our system.   I live in Cochin,  in the heart of kerala.    Compared to other states in India, kerala is a better place to live because of the high educational standards.  But it  seriously lags in industrial growth, now even agriculture is losing grounds,  forcing hundreds of thousands of its educated youth to go abroad in search of employment.

Kerala is a relatively prosperous region, which gained international acclaim as the first state in India to obtain 100 percent literacy.    One of the richest states in India with the richest temple in the world,   Padmanabhaswamy Temple  at  trivandrum.

MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO THE SOCIETY.  (Story as is)

Germany is a highly industrialized country.  It produces top brands like Benz, BMW, and Siemens etc. The nuclear reactor pump is made in a small town in this country. In such a country, many think, its people lead a luxurious life. At least that was my impression before my study trip.

When I arrived at Hamburg , my colleagues who work in Hamburg arranged a welcome party for me in a restaurant. As we walked into the restaurant, we noticed that a lot of tables were empty. There was a table where a young couple was having their meal. There were only two dishes and two cans of beer on the table. I wondered if such simple meal could be romantic, and whether the girl will leave this stingy guy.

There were a few old ladies on another table. When a dish is served, the waiter would distribute the food for them, and they would finish every bit of the food on their plates.

We did not pay much attention to them, as we were looking forward to the dishes we ordered. As we were hungry, our local colleague ordered more food for us.

As the restaurant was quiet, the food came quite fast. Since there were other activities arranged for us, we did not spend much time dining. When we left, there was still about one third of unconsumed food on the table.

When we were leaving the restaurant, we heard someone calling us. We noticed the old ladies in the restaurant were talking about us to the restaurant owner. When they spoke to us in English, we understood that they were unhappy about us wasting so much food. We immediately felt that they were really being too busybody. “We paid for our food, it is none of your business how much food we left behind,” my colleague Gui told the old ladies.

The old ladies were furious. One of them immediately took her hand phone out and made a call to someone. After a while, a man in uniform claimed to be an officer from the Social Security organization arrived. Upon knowing what the dispute was, he issued us a 50 Mark fine.
We all kept quiet. The local colleague took out a 50 Mark note and repeatedly apologized to the officer. The officer told us in a stern voice, “ORDER WHAT YOU CAN CONSUME, MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO THE SOCIETY. THERE ARE MANY OTHERS IN THE WORLD WHO ARE FACING SHORTAGE OF RESOURCES. YOU HAVE NO REASON TO WASTE RESOURCES.´”

Our face turned red. We all agreed with him in our hearts. The mindset of people of this rich country put all of us to shame. WE REALLY NEED TO REFLECT ON THIS. We are from country which is not very rich in resources.

To save face, we order large quantity and also waste food when we give others a treat.

THIS LESSON TAUGHT US A LESSON TO THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT CHANGING OUR BAD HABITS.

But the big question is WHEN CAN WE CHANGE?
